The Mississippi State football team blew out Kansas State in the Bulldogs’ second game in 2018

Mississippi State football is now 2-0. The Bulldogs blew right through the Kansas State Wildcats thanks to a Herculean effort from Mississippi State’s sophomore running back, Kylin Hill. Hill had one incredible performance against Bill Snyder’s Wildcats, scoring touchdowns through the air and on the ground to push MSU over Kansas State.

The scoring actually started via Jace Christmann’s leg. A 30 yard field goal from Christmann six minutes into the game got the Bulldogs on the board against Kansas State, setting the score at 3-0. Kansas State would respond and tie things up at 3-3 with a field goal of their own later in the quarter.

In the second quarter, Mississippi State started to pull away. The aforementioned Hill grabbed a couple of touchdowns to spread the lead out to 17-3. The first touchdown was a pass from Nick Fitzgerald while the second was a 28 yard run.

At half, MSU held a two touchdown lead.

Five minutes into the second half, the Mississippi State football team pushed that lead out even further. Austin Williams caught a pass from Fitzgerald to extend the lead out to 24-3. Then, K-State tried to crawl back into the game with a touchdown of their own.

However, that was as close as the Wildcats could get.

Following that, the Mississippi State Bulldogs went and got another touchdown. Hill ran for another 16 yards and added to MSU’s lead, bringing up the final score of 31-10.

In this game, Kylin Hill was better than the entirety of Kansas State’s offense. Hill ran for 211 yards and two touchdowns while also catching a pass for 16 yards and a touchdown. That’s three total touchdowns and 227 total yards. Kansas State had 213 total yards and only one touchdown all afternoon.
