The Bulldogs’ pass defense still appears a bit improved

The Mississippi State football team has struggled at defending against the forward pass in recent years. That’s rather unfortunate because the forward pass is a staple in modern college football and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

However! Mississippi State looks pretty good against the pass right now. Neither Kansas State or Stephen F. Austin have exactly lit up the scoreboard through the air against MSU. This is largely due to the Bulldogs’ pass rush, but hopefully we’ll see more improvements in the secondary as the season wears on.
