The Mississippi State football team’s passing offense is rough right now

The first half hasn’t exactly been great for Nick Fitzgerald and Mississippi State’s receivers. Things could have certainly gone better for the Bulldogs throughout the first half and hopefully things will improve as the game, and then ultimately the season, wears on.

In the first half against Kansas State, we saw overthrows and we saw dropped passes and just general sloppy play from MSU’s passing game. Part of that might be rust from Fitzgerald and part of that might be this new scheme, but it doesn’t matter the cause right now. MSU’s passing attack is rough and it needs to get better soon.

Fitzgerald has made a few good plays through the air and on the ground, but things need to get better. In theory, they should as he gets more comfortable.
