Mississippi State’s secondary showed vulnerabilities against passing attacks but it really wasn’t that bad tonight

Yes. Okay. Yes. There were some issues that the Mississippi State football team experienced tonight. Defending the pass is one such issue that has lingered over from previous years and several people are concerned about it right now.

But, in all actuality, Stephen F. Austin wasn’t all that dynamic through the air. All things considered, this vulnerability wasn’t exposed as much as some might think.

SFA failed to even reach 200 yards through the air. To be completely honest, Stephen F. Austin didn’t even reach 178 yards through the air. They only had 177. That’s not all that impressive. There were no passing touchdowns (or touchdowns of any kind) for the Lumberjacks.

Yes, MSU has work to do in the secondary. No, it wasn’t all that bad for MSU there tonight.
