Keytaon Thompson now has an opportunity to prove that he should be the starting quarterback in 2019

In what will be Keytaon Thompson’s second consecutive start, he’s got a great opportunity in front of him to start getting more respect and more attention. Thompson is an incredibly athletic quarterback who can do everything that Joe Moorhead will want him to on the field. His speed and physical talents are a huge reason as to why MSU beat Louisville.

Keytaon Thompson outplayed Lamar Jackson, a Heisman winner. That was Thompson’s first start ever.

There’s a slight chance that Thompson could get pushed for the starting quarterback spot by Jalen Mayden, a true freshman in 2018. Mayden is incredibly talented and will have plenty of attention going his way.

This is Thompson’s chance to rack up stats, showcase his skills, and move to the forefront of everyone’s mind going into 2019.
