The Mississippi State football team received some assistance from the Famous Maroon Band to learn the Fight song, and it turned into a spectacular hype video.

When you attend or watch Mississippi State football games this fall, the Famous Maroon Band will be a constant presence while you do so. It has over 400 members this year and they do a great job of providing a great atmosphere for the games.

Regardless, there will be some talking head this football season who will take a pot shot at marching bands. They will say something to make them feel like they are nerds, geeks, or whatever without recognizing the amazing impact they have on the game environment of college football. It’s a classic meathead approach, but it gets the people who do so the thing they want the most, and that is attention.

One person who won’t have those feelings though is Mississippi State football coach Joe Moorhead. Coach Moorhead wanted to make sure the football team and coaches knew the fight song, so in an effort to teach them the words, he enlisted the help of some of the members of the Famous Maroon Band to help him out.

What started as just a nice video of the football team singing the fight song turned into a hype session for the team. Take a look for yourself.

So yeah, if you weren’t already pumped up about the start of football season right around the corner, you should be now. It’s getting closer and closer day by day.

It’s great to see the football team and the band doing this together. It speaks highly of Joe Moorhead to get the Mississippi State football team to appreciate the efforts of the band for all they do during the game. I hope to see more of it.
