The Mississippi State football team faces a tough challenge in the Auburn Tigers this year

Fresh off of a game against their former head coach and his new team, the Mississippi State football team will take on the Auburn Tigers.

Assuming all is going as it possibly could for Auburn at this point in the year, MSU could be battling a top five ranked team when the Bulldogs welcome the Tigers to Starkville. Assuming the Mississippi State football team is also undefeated at this point in the season, this could be a battle between two top ten ranked foes.

Auburn will get the season kicked off against Washington, which will be their toughest challenge in the first half of the season. From there, the Tigers will play Alabama State, LSU, Arkansas, and Southern Miss.

If Auburn gets past Washington, they SHOULD be undefeated when they come to Starkville.

That’ll present an interesting challenge and a tough opponent for Mississippi State to face. Even if Auburn doesn’t beat the Huskies in week one, they’re still going to be an incredibly tough team that should be 4-1 when they come to town.

This will be Joe Moorhead’s toughest test as a head coach up to this point in the season. He will have to make sure that his team is ready for this game.
