John Grisham

John Grisham loves the Mississippi State Bulldogs. And, well, the Mississippi State Bulldogs love John Grisham. The university library has a John Grisham Room and the university library has a Grisham award. For the 10th year of Mississippi State University selecting a book for the university to put in front of thousands of students’ eyes, MSU chose a book by Grisham.

Nowadays, you might actually find Grisham watching the Virginia Cavaliers, but that doesn’t mean that he isn’t known for his love for the Mississippi State baseball team. In fact, Grisham has described Dudy Noble Field in terms that have come to define the program.

Grisham has affectionately described and defined both the Left Field Lounge and Dudy Noble Field at Polk Dement Stadium for those who have never been and may never be able to fully understand it. He also donated to help keep the facilities up to date back in the 1990’s, putting his money where his mouth was.
