Robin Roberts

Robin Roberts grew up on the Mississippi gulf coast, which is many miles away from Starkville, and went to college at Southeastern Louisiana University, but it appears that she holds the Bulldogs in high regard.

She may not be a fan of every athletic team that the university fields, but it’s hard to say that she isn’t a fan of the Mississippi State women’s basketball team. The former ESPN anchor and current anchor of Good Morning America was incredibly passionate about the Mississippi State Bulldogs’ run to the 2017 National Title Game.

During that NCAA Tournament run, Roberts showcased a Mississippi State jersey on tv, rang a cowbell on set, and met with the team after the Bulldogs defeated the seemingly unbeatable UConn Huskies.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs received plenty of attention and love from Roberts during the 2017 NCAA Tournament run. Roberts repping her home state and showcasing the Bulldogs in the process was certainly plenty of good attention, and that certainly never hurts to get.

Mississippi State didn’t win the title that year and Roberts hasn’t made as many viral celebrations of the Bulldogs since then, but that doesn’t diminish the fact that she seems to love the MSU women’s basketball program.
