Mississippi State’s athletic department is saving MSU fans quite a bit of money during 2018 and 2019

In the grand scheme of things, being a Mississippi State fan is somewhat inexpensive when compared to supporting many other college football programs. The MSU athletic department has been innovative and cost effective over the past few years. MSU has done a lot to provide interesting options for its fans.

Now, they’ve gone through with a very simple action to save Mississippi State Bulldog fans a notable amount of money. John Cohen, and the rest of the Mississippi State athletic department here, are making moves to cut costs for fans attending games.

The Bulldogs have slashed prices across the board for everything that is at the concession stands. That change is for every sport at every event through the 2018-2019 academic year.

The most recent episode of this Mississippi State podcast, the Maroon and White Audible, is here to discuss that. Follow along with MaWA on iTunes or Google Play Music. You can also find every episode of the Maroon and White Audible on Spreaker.

Will this impact your decision to go watch the Mississippi State Bulldogs play? How much credit do you think John Cohen deserves for this decision? If you’re attending MSU football games, do you think that the cup rush at the end of games in the student section will feature notably larger stacks of cups now that more people will probably be buying sodas?

More than likely, John Cohen doesn’t deserve all of the praise for this. More than likely, a multitude of people in the MSU athletic department came together to put this idea into motion. Still, it is yet another example of how well the athletic department is being run right now. And that’s a great sign for the future.
