Mississippi State Football vs Arkansas 2015

The 2015 Mississippi State football season had a lot of potential. The Bulldogs were returning the greatest player in program history with Dak Prescott but simply didn’t have all of the pieces around him set up perfectly to get enough noteworthy wins and compete against the upper echelon of the Southeastern Conference.

But, the Bulldogs did have some pretty impressive wins.

The Arkansas Razorbacks in 2015 weren’t a pushover by any means. The Razorbacks were only 8-5 that season, but finished tied up for third in the SEC West with a 5-3 SEC record thanks to a very impressive couple of months in October and November.

The Razorbacks hopped over Auburn in an overtime shootout that went into four overtimes, knocked down No. 19 Ole Miss in an overtime shootout in Oxford, and then demolished the No. 9 LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge.

Arkansas was riding an incredible wave of momentum heading into the matchup. And still, Mississippi State came out on top of the Razorbacks. Mississippi State and Arkansas went back and forth, but the Bulldogs won thanks to a blocked field goal at the end of the game.

The win was MSU’s 8th that season. Dak Prescott put up an incredible performance that earned him even more respect from across the country.
