Mississippi State Football vs Arkansas

There’s certainly an argument to be made that this game should be considered easier on this list. After all, Kentucky is in a much better place as a program than Arkansas is and ESPN’s FPI says that State has an 83.5 percent chance of winning here. Arkansas isn’t all that much of a threat coming into this season.

But, the Razorbacks have been a thorn in MSU’s side over the past few seasons. On top of that, where this game is placed in the schedule will make it potentially a difficult one to win for the Bulldogs.

Mississippi State will be fresh off of a trip to Tuscaloosa when the Bulldogs get to play Arkansas. Regardless of how that game goes, it’ll take a physical and emotional toll on MSU.

Should the Bulldogs actually win that one, it’s possible that they’ll be overlooking this game as Mississippi State comes down from an emotional high. Should the Bulldogs lose that game, then it’ll possibly be difficult to get ready to take on Arkansas.

Besides, Mississippi State gets Arkansas the weak before the Egg Bowl. After how last season’s Battle for the Golden Egg went, it’s certainly possible that Mississippi State overlooks Arkansas a bit and is ready for the game on Thanksgiving night.
