Mississippi State Football vs Kentucky

Kentucky isn’t the easiest team on Mississippi State’s football schedule, but they’re not a juggernaut by any means. The Wildcats have caused problems for the Bulldogs before, but they shouldn’t be all that difficult to deal with this season.

Yes, Mississippi State will be playing in Kentucky’s Kroger Field (their football stadium is now dubbed that, it’s a real thing). Also yes, Kentucky is returning a ton of starters from last year’s team that went 7-6. And, again, yes, Kentucky is returning their head coach whereas Mississippi State is breaking in a new one with Joe Moorhead.

Still, a season ago, the Bulldogs beat the Wildcats 45-7 and it felt like a much bigger win than that. Mississippi State is similarly returning a ton of production and starters from a team that won 9 games last year. And again, Joe Moorhead is regarded as a incredibly good coach.

The Bulldogs are favored by ESPN’s Football Power Index in this game as the FPI says MSU has a 78.2 percent chance of winning this game.
