The Mississippi State football team will be without Reggie Todd this fall
Last year, the Bulldogs didn’t have much of a passing game due to issues at wide receiver. Now, Joe Moorhead and the Mississippi State football team will be without another receiver this fall. With Reggie Todd out, the Bulldogs will have to find a way to create production through the air.
That’s right. Reggie Todd will no longer be with the Mississippi State football team heading into the 2018 college football season.
Last month, Reggie Todd was arrested on simple assault charges. He was released shortly afterwards on bond, but that’s not the end of all of this. When Todd was arrested, the Mississippi State coaching staff suspended Todd indefinitely from all football activities.
Similarly, that also wasn’t the end of the situation. Now, Todd will not be able to play this year. He will reportedly potentially have a chance to return to the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the spring in 2019. Still, it’s too early to determine whether or not that will actually happen.
Joe Moorhead and the Mississippi State Bulldogs are still looking for a way to create some production through the air. Removing Todd from the Bulldogs’ roster doesn’t remove a lot of production, but it does remove possible depth at a position that MSU truly needs some sort of answers from.

The wide receiving corps takes a hit in its depth with the removal of Reggie Todd, but this is possibly the right decision. More than likely, this decision wasn’t made lightly by Joe Moorhead and his coaching staff.
