His Experience At Louisville As An Assistant Coach Under Dan McDonnell Is Impressive And Noteworthy

Speaking specifically and solely on his time as an assistant coach with Dan McDonnell, Chris Lemonis had plenty of success to write home about at Louisville. With the Cardinals, Lemonis helped put together multiple teams that went on to the College World Series.

Lemonis coached at Louisville from 2007 to 2014. In that timeframe, the Cardinals won at an incredibly high level. The Cardinals made it into the NCAA Tournament a total of seven times in that span, they won their regionals four times, and then reached the College World Series three times.

Louisville won an average of 44.9 games per season from 2007 to 2014. The Cardinals won a total of at least 50 games three times and only had one season where they finished with fewer than 40 wins.

Lemonis, as the coach in charge of recruiting to build these teams, assembled the players necessary to make that sort of consistent college baseball dominance. That’s impressive and important for the Bulldogs to move forward with.
