Left Handed Pitcher Zach Neff Was Selected By The Minnesota Twins

Zach Neff has only been in Starkville, Mississippi for one year, but it’s been a pretty good year so far. Well, despite the stuff that happened with Andy Cannizaro, that is. But, on the field for the  transfer pitcher, things have been solid.

Neff has made 24 appearances for the Mississippi State baseball team this season, coming primarily out of the bullpen for the Bulldogs. So far, Neff has a 3.46 ERA, 35 strikeouts, and 8 walks in 41.2 innings pitched.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs will need Neff moving forward into the Super Regional against Vanderbilt and hopefully a College World Series appearance. Neff has made the second most appearances out of the bullpen this year and that’s probably a big reason why the Twins picked him up.
