Mississippi State Baseball’s Konnor Pilkington

Konnor Pilkington was the first Mississippi State baseball player selected in the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft. Pilkington has been the ace for the Bulldogs this season and last season, but he’s been contributing for longer than that.

The 6-3 and 228 pound Pilkington is in his junior year. He’s been playing for MSU actively since his freshman year back in 2016 when he emerged as a solid Sunday starter for the Bulldogs. His development last year was solid as he was one of the Southeastern Conference’s best pitchers in 2017.

Konnor Pilkington has trailed off a bit this season as the year has progressed, but his potential is still there. And because of that potential, Pilkington was selected in the 3rd round by the Chicago White Sox.
