The NCAA Tournament’s Tallahassee Regional will get started tomorrow morning
The Tallahassee Regional of the NCAA Tournament gets started tomorrow. The Florida State Seminoles are hosting the regional and have welcomed three other teams to come down for the weekend.
Given that the regional is being hosted by Florida State, they are the No. 1 seed here. Overall, the Seminoles are the No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Mississippi State shows up in Tallahassee as the No. 2 seed. That puts the Oklahoma Sooners in the regional as the No. 3 seed and then the Samford Bulldogs as the No. 4 seed.
The first game of the Tallahassee Regional will be between the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Oklahoma Sooners tomorrow at 11:00 am central time. Or, alternatively, the game is at noon local time given that Tallahassee is in the eastern time zone.
Then, the second game of the regional is between the hosting Seminoles and then the Samford Bulldogs. That game will be played later on Friday at 6:00 pm central time which is 7:00 pm eastern time.
From there, the losers of the first two teams will play each other in an elimination game. The loser of that elimination game will then head on home. That game will be played on Saturday at 11:00 am central time.
The winners of the first round will play each other later that day at 4:00 pm central time. Whichever team loses here will be sent to the elimination bracket where they will then meet the winner of the first elimination game.
In that second elimination game, on Sunday at 11:00, the loser of the two teams playing in it will go home and the winner will play the remaining undefeated team for the regional championship. The first championship game will happen on Sunday at 4:00 pm central.
