Can Leo Lewis Play Like He Did In 2016 Rather Than 2017?

Leo Lewis is an incredibly talented linebacker. In 2016, Lewis was one of the best in the Southeastern Conference as a redshirt freshman on the Mississippi State football team. The 6-2, 235 pound linebacker racked up 79 tackles in 2016, 33 solo tackles and then 46 assisted tackles.

But, Lewis wasn’t as good last year. In fact, Leo Lewis went through one heck of a sophomore slump in 2017.

During the 2017 season, Lewis only totaled 46 tackles, equal to the amount of assisted tackles he made just one season prior to this. His production was down and he struggled at times throughout the year.

Still, Leo Lewis has a chance to change that this season. He’ll be given a chance to prove that he can be one of the best in the SEC again.

It’ll take a lot more than the 46 tackles he had last season, but there’s currently no real reason as to why Lewis can’t shine in 2017.
