Is This The Year That The Mississippi State Football Team Overcomes The Alabama Crimson Tide?

It’s been a while since the Mississippi State Bulldogs have found a way to take down the Alabama Crimson Tide. In 2006 and 2007, Sylvester Croom led MSU to back to back wins against the Tide. Since then, however, Alabama has won and won most years with ease.

Last season, it appeared like Mississippi State could finally get the win against Alabama. However, the Bulldogs still fell short in a game that they went punch-for-punch with the best team in the nation.

So, is this the year?

Joe Moorhead has discussed winning the SEC and contending for championships with Mississippi State. He wants championship rings and trophies to permanently reside with the Bulldogs in Starkville, Mississippi.

To get to that point, Moorhead will have to guide the Bulldogs beyond Alabama. Is this the year that the dam finally breaks and the Bulldogs get a win they’ve been striving to get for over a decade now?
