Will Mississippi State Football End Its Losing Streak Against The Auburn Tigers?

During the past two years, the Mississippi State Bulldogs haven’t fared all that well when taking on the Auburn Tigers. The Bulldogs are aiming to change that fact during the upcoming 2018 football season.

Back in 2016, MSU welcomed the Auburn Tigers to town during the 5th week of the college football season. Mississippi State was fresh off a bye week after traveling up to Massachusetts and was set on at least challenging the Tigers in the game.

Instead, Auburn claimed a 35-0 halftime lead and pulled off the gas in the second half. Auburn won 38-14 in a game that could have been significantly worse.

And this past season, in 2017, Mississippi State was set on tackling Auburn and taking them down in their place. The Bulldogs started the season hot, but struggled on the road in Georgia. Still, the Bulldogs were hoping for a solid win to get back on track.

Instead, Auburn held a 21-10 halftime lead and pulled away in the second lead as the put on the gas. The Tigers won 49-10 and dismantled the Bulldogs in a game that could have been significantly worse.

Here’s to hoping that 2018 is the end of this awful losing streak.
