Can Joe Moorhead Continue The Bulldogs’ Dominance Over Kentucky?

One things that Dan Mullen certainly did well in his time at Mississippi State was that he made sure that the Bulldogs continued to defeat the Kentucky Wildcats year in and year out, helping to maintain dominance over them and bolster the Bulldogs’ SEC record.

That said, it’s not like each win was a blow out. Still, from 2009 to 2017, Mississippi State only lost to the Wildcats once in Dan Mullen’s time in Starkville. That one loss was by two points on the road in 2016.

Mississippi State’s average margin of victory in each of those eight wins was by 15.4 points. In the past three years, the Mississippi State football team has won two of the three meetings by an average margin of 32 points.

Mississippi State hasn’t scored fewer than 38 points against Kentucky in any of the previous four games that the Bulldogs have played against the Wildcats.

Joe Moorhead’s team is built ready to continue to beat Kentucky and score a ton of points on them. But, as to whether or not this actually happens remains to be seen. Can the Bulldogs still win big over Kentucky?
