Mississippi State softball had a strong 2018 season

The 2018 Mississippi State softball season was a strong one for the Bulldogs. Mississippi State won 38 games, broke and set brand new records, and showed that this team cares about each other as more than just as athletes. They’ve united for a cause that is bigger than themselves off the field while also proving to be a good softball team on the field.

The 2018 version of the Mississippi State softball team did have its lows this year. The Bulldogs struggled against fellow Southeastern Conference foes, holding a 7-17 record against teams from the SEC.

Still, Mississippi State made a good run this year. The Bulldogs returned to postseason play in the NCAA Tournament for the second year in a row and the sixth time in seven years under head coach Vann Stuedeman’s lead.

Unfortunately, however, things are done for Mississippi State. The Bulldogs don’t get to play anymore games. To start the Tucson Regional, Mississippi State fell to North Dakota State, putting them behind the 8 ball. And now, MSU is coming home after a heartbreaking loss to the Arizona Wildcats in the Tucson Regional Championship.
