Mississippi State baseball’s Jake Mangum tied up the game with Florida with this solo home run
The Mississippi State baseball team is aiming to sweep the top ranked Florida Gators this weekend. Mississippi State has taken two games from Florida this weekend. The first game on Friday came via a 6-3 comeback win over the No. 1 Florida Gators. MSU was down, but came back late in the game to win.
Then, yesterday, the Mississippi State Bulldogs came out from the get go and blew out the Gators from start to finish. Mississippi State beat the Gators 12-4 and claimed the series against Florida with ease.
Now, the Mississippi State baseball team is aiming to sweep the series.
The Bulldogs are currently battling the Gators. In the first inning, Florida took an early lead over the Mississippi State football team. Down 1-0, Jake Mangum stepped up to the plate and evened the game up with one swing of his bat.
With 0 outs, in the bottom of the 1st, leading off the Bulldogs, Jake Mangum hit a home run on the very first pitch of the game from the Gators.
Now, Mississippi State is in the 4th inning and the Bulldogs lead the Florida Gators.
