What Fitzgerald Has Accomplished With Mississippi State Football So Far?

So far in his career in Starkville, Nick Fitzgerald has been incredibly productive for the Bulldogs. At this point in his career, Fitz has thrown for 4440 yards along with 39 touchdowns and 21 interceptions. He’s completed 55.4 percent of his passes in his first three years playing in Starkville.

While those are solid numbers passing wise, they aren’t the best. And what Fitzgerald is really known for is being a dynamic running threat. On the ground, Nick Fitzgerald has run for 2486 yards and 33 touchdowns on 6.5 yards per carry.

Those are good numbers, but Fitzgerald will likely need for them to be a bit better in his senior season. He will certainly need to be a bit more efficient in his passing next season to really get Heisman consideration.

Why is that?

It’s because of everything that recent quarterbacks that have won the Heisman have done. There’s a standard that is set and Fitzgerald will need to meet that standard.
