Heading Into The Final Weekend Of SEC Play, Where Does Mississippi State Stand Right Now?

The Mississippi State baseball team has gone 12-15 against SEC teams so far this season. This weekend, MSU will take on the Florida Gators and will have to play at the top of their potential to come away with any wins.

The Bulldogs are, right now, tied for 5th in the SEC West with the Texas A&M Aggies. But, because the Aggies claimed the SEC series between the two teams earlier this year, MSU loses that tiebreaker and sits at 6th in the West.

Overall in the SEC, Mississippi State is above the Tennessee Volunteers, the Missouri Tigers, and the Alabama Crimson Tide in that order. The Vols have a SEC record of 11-16, the Tigers have gone 10-17 against SEC teams, and Alabama is 7-20 in SEC play.
