October 6th, Mississippi State Football vs Auburn

The Mississippi State football team hasn’t won a game against the Auburn Tigers in a couple years. Right now, Auburn is on a two game winning streak over the Bulldogs thanks to two frustrating blowouts. The last time MSU won against the Tigers came back in 2015 with a 17-9 win.

In 2018, this is a game that could largely decide who is chasing after the Alabama Crimson Tide for the SEC West crown.

Both Mississippi State and Auburn are amongst the teams clearly fighting for the number two spot in the division with an outside shot of winning it outright. Both teams feature experienced quarterbacks and explosive offenses.

The Tigers are going to have to reload a bit heading into the 2018 season, but Auburn’s administrations clearly believes in Gus Malzahn’s ability to win and have made him a very rich man.
