Wide Receiver

Rounding out the receivers is the final spot in the starting lineup here. Now that the first wide receiver spot and the slot receiver spot have been covered, it’s time to note a few more pass catching threats that will help the offense tremendously in 2018.

Jesse Jackson returns and is looking to continue developing and building his career for the Bulldogs. Jackson was a decent option a season ago. He should be improved heading toward this year. But, he’ll be pushed for playing time.

Austin Williams was redshirted a season ago. It was a season he could have contributed immediately in as a freshman. Now, he’s got a chance to play and prove himself in the SEC. Also, newcomer Devonta Jason was a highly sought after recruit. Both have performed well in their time playing and practicing this spring.

Both should see the field this fall. Expect them to get meaningful playing time fairly soon.

  • Starter- Jesse Jackson
  • Backup- Austin Williams
