Wide Receiver

In 2017, Mississippi State sorely needed some help at wide receiver. The Bulldogs struggled to get the ball downfield reliably and cause any sort of damage through the air for most of the year. In 2018, that problem shouldn’t be as present. Largely because of some new faces but also because of current contributors stepping up.

Assuming Stephen Guidry is ready to go this fall, he’ll likely be the starter for the Bulldogs. Guidry is a perfectly built deep threat for Mississippi State and should have the physical tools he needs to make an impact sooner rather than later.

Reggie Todd and Jamal Couch both made some strides toward the end of the year last season. Now, they’re in a situation where they can make plays as Guidry helps stretch the field and pull defenses away from them.
