Final Thoughts On The Series?

Unfortunately, I’m not too optimistic about the Mississippi State softball team’s chances to take this series. Over the last 10 games that the Bulldogs have played, Mississippi State has only won a grand total of three of them.

MSU is currently on a three game losing streak and has dropped four of their last five games. That is not the type of momentum that a team wants to have heading into the final series of the season.

But, this is senior weekend. And Mississippi State could use a few wins. The Bulldogs will certainly be motivated for this series. It’ll just take a little more than just motivation to take it from the Lady Vols though.

Next: Will MSU Make The SEC Tournament?

I’ll predict that the Bulldogs claim one of their three games against Tennessee this weekend. It’ll probably be enough to get MSU into the SEC Tournament up in Columbia, Missouri. But, unfortunately, it might be a little closer than what most would consider comfortable.
