Here’s How The Pitching For These Teams Compares

Throughout most of the season, Mississippi State has featured pretty good pitching in 2018. Holly Ward and Cassady Knudsen have headlined a pitching staff that has been pretty devastating against opponents this year. The duo, so far, combine for a win-loss record of 25-15, have struck out 268 of their opponents, and have allowed a total of 85 runs to be scored against them.

The two have combined to do most of the heavy lifting for the Bulldogs this season. Ward has a total of 142.2 innings pitched to her name and Knudsen comes in with 99.0 innings pitched in 2018.

They’ll have some tough competition across from them though. Tennessee has a couple pitchers of their own who are looking to inflict some damage this weekend. Caylan Arnold and Matty Moss have been incredible this year. They combine for a 38-9 win-loss record, have 310 strikeouts, and have given up 111 runs this year.

Mississippi State won’t have it easy when it comes to scoring runs this weekend. The Tennessee pitching staff is going to make sure of that.
