The Mississippi State softball team wraps up its regular season with one last SEC series
It’s the final weekend of the regular season for the Mississippi State softball team. Vann Stuedeman and her squad are putting the finishing touches on what has been a pretty nice season for them. The 24th ranked Bulldogs are bringing the 7th ranked Tennessee Lady Vols to Starkville, Mississippi to get things finished.
Up to this point, Mississippi State softball is 34-18 this season. The Bulldogs have done pretty well for themselves this year. But, MSU has struggled when it comes to facing Southeastern Conference opponents. 15 of those 18 losses have come from fellow SEC members. The Bulldogs have 6 SEC wins to their name this year.
And now, Mississippi State is looking to grab a couple more wins heading into the SEC Tournament that starts on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are almost certain to make it into the NCAA Tournament with a solid seeding in a regional, but there’s still a scenario in which the Bulldogs don’t make it to their conference tournament.
The Mississippi State softball team is looking to end their regular season on a high note and send their seniors out with a SEC series win. Can the Bulldogs do that this weekend?
