Mississippi State Baseball Needs Its Pitchers To Perform Well

The Mississippi State Bulldogs, more than likely, cannot solely rely upon its batters to win this weekend. While MSU will have plenty of opportunities to make big things happen at the plate this weekend, State will still need its pitchers to show up and perform well on the mound in Tuscaloosa.

This year, Mississippi State’s pitching staff has a total ERA of 3.84. In SEC games alone, that number is at 4.18. Not good, but that still should be more than good enough to take down Alabama at least twice this weekend.

MSU has struck out a total of 187 SEC batters this year and 417 batters throughout the entire season. The Bulldogs have the tools they need to win this series, they just have to use them properly.
