Mississippi State baseball heads on over to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to start a lengthy road trip

The Mississippi State baseball team is on the road for a bit. The Bulldogs’ first destination on this trip is over across the state line to Sewell-Thomas Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Bulldogs have hit the road to try their hand at beating the Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team.

Alabama is a little less than good this year.

Well, let me rephrase that. The Crimson Tide aren’t any good at all this season. Right now, Alabama is 23-23 and 5-16 against SEC teams. Currently, the Crimson Tide sits at 72 in the RPI rankings.

That’s not good at all. Which is really good for Mississippi State baseball, a team that has been all over the place in terms of success this season. We’ve seen the Mississippi State Bulldogs beat down top 5 ranked opponents and then lose horribly against inferior opponents.

Now, Mississippi State has yet another chance to improve their resume a bit. Or, rather, this is an opportunity to keep the resume from getting worse. MSU can beat Alabama and move up in the SEC standings, which would help out in the long run of this season.

So, what will this series look like?
