This May Be The Last Season Of Mississippi State Football For Jeffery Simmons

When Jeffery Simmons arrived in Starkville, it was under a ton of scrutiny. Everything he did, and the program did, was placed under a microscope and was carefully examined.

Rightfully so.

Since then, Jeffery Simmons has played well on the field and hasn’t done anything to draw attention off the field. He’s stayed clear of causing any trouble and, on the field, has caused mayhem for opposing offenses.

Last season, with an injured shoulder, he was named to the All-SEC First Team. He can be an even better player in 2018 if he’s healthy and with the pieces that will be returning around him. The Bulldogs will have one of the best defensive lines in the SEC. That could lead to enough production and NFL attention to lure Simmons away from Starkville.
