It’ll Be Interesting To See How Nick Fitzgerald Develops With Joe Moorhead In Charge

Nick Fitzgerald has been a great quarterback for the Bulldogs. In 2018, Fitzgerald has the potential to set several new records. And it’s totally possible that he will with Joe Moorhead coaching him this season.

But, what’ll be more interesting than the records he might set is how Fitzgerald actually develops. Fitz has only been playing quarterback for a few years. Still, his passing skillset isn’t exactly where it needs to be right now.

Under Dan Mullen, Fitzgerald became a powerful dual-threat that few defenses could slow down, let alone stop. However, for Fitzgerald to have a real shot in the National Football League, he’ll need to polish his passing skills. For Mississippi State football to have a truly special season, Fitz will need to refine what he can do throwing the ball.

Joe Moorhead is a great offensive mind. He could certainly help Fitzgerald do that and become more than just a running quarterback. It’ll be interesting to see what actually happens this season with that though.
