Mississippi State Football: 18 Thoughts on 2018 season

Mississippi State Is Quite Possibly The Second Best Team In The SEC West In 2018
In the Southeastern Conference, everyone is chasing after Alabama. In the SEC West, it’s even more difficult to do, but the emphasis is certainly even more present when talking about the rest of the teams in the division. Given that Mississippi State happens to be in that division, that emphasis is absolutely alive and well.
And, well, that means that Mississippi State football will be fighting for recognition in 2018. Alabama is the assumed national title, and thus conference title winner by many, and it makes plenty of sense to assume that.
But, this is definitely a year that MSU could make a run and challenge the Crimson Tide. Some media members happen to believe this is possible. But, it would take a lot for Mississippi State to challenge the Tide for the conference.
Still, MSU could make a push for being the second best team in the West division. The Bulldogs have the pieces to do that. It’ll be interesting to see if they can win enough against tough opponents to secure that standing, however.
