Hopefully Leo Lewis Can Return To His 2016 Form

Last season, Leo Lewis recorded 46 tackles and 1.0 sack. That’s not bad, but Mississippi State knows that Lewis is capable of far more than that. Mostly because in his freshman season, Lewis did produce far more than that.

Lewis had 76.0 tackles during the 2016 season with 5.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sack. He was all over the field and got in the way of opposing offenses fairly frequently. But, unfortunately, that didn’t carry over to the 2017 season and Mississippi State football was likely hoping for more out of him then.

But, right now, Lewis has an opportunity to bounce back and move forward during his junior season. He’s got plenty of experience, has played all over the Southeastern Conference and knows what he’s getting into this year.
