Mississippi State Football Enters New Era With Joe Moorhead

We’re in the Joe Moorhead era of Mississippi State football now. We’ve officially entered into a new era after Dan Mullen moved on and Moorhead arrived. Spring practices have been going on and are now actually wrapping up.

This Saturday, the Bulldogs will play their spring game, the annual Maroon and White game. It will be the very first one that Joe Moorhead will coach. Hopefully the first of many during a successful coaching stint in Starkville.

But, even though it’s a new era for MSU football, let’s take a look back over the past few seasons. Let’s go over a few notable moments from the Dan Mullen era. We’re gonna go through the five most important spring games from Mullen’s time in the Maroon and White.

These are spring games that have significance for a few reasons. They will vary from game to game. Some were before brilliant seasons while others are notable for the start of something new. So, let’s begin. We have plenty of years to work with, but we’ll go through the five best ones.

Starting at number five.
