What Mississippi State Football Records Will Be Difficult, Or Impossible, For Nick Fitzgerald To Get To?
So, that’s a few records that Fitzgerald will be able to make a run at in 2018. But, there’s still a few records that will be difficult, or downright impossible for him to achieve.
First, rushing yards in a career. Anthony Dixon has 3994 of those. Nick Fitzgerald only has 2486. Fitz will be able to climb that list a bit, but it’s unrealistic to assume that he can catapult himself to the top of that record. He would have to set a new single season rushing yard record to even get close at this one.
Second, total offense yards in a career. Nick Fitzgerald comes in at second on the list with 7097. Dak Prescott has 11897. It would take a new single season total offense yards record for Fitzgerald to get within a couple hundred yards of that number.
Nick Fitzgerald should have a great season in 2018. Mississippi State football should have a great one as well.
If Fitzgerald can have a record setting year, it’ll be a great way for the talented and unheralded quarterback to cap off his career in the maroon and white. He’s done a lot for Mississippi State football over the past couple years. Here’s to one more season of that production.
