Darryl Williams Should Continue to Succeed at Left Guard

More than likely, yes. Darryl Williams has been a very good interior presence on the line for Mississippi State football. Against LSU, Williams had no issues at all and was dubbed the SEC Offensive Lineman of the week after that game.

Williams weighs in at 6-2 and 305 pounds. The junior from Bessemer, Alabama is a solid force at left guard and should be able to anchor the left side of the offensive line for Mississippi State football.

Losing Martinas Rankin at left tackle will hurt a bit, but having Williams here at left guard should be able to help Greg Eiland make his transition to a full-time starter. Plus, Williams’ experience will allow the interior of MSU’s line to continue matching up favorably with SEC defensive fronts this year.
