Bovada Odds just released their early odds for this fall’s NFL Most Valuable Player. Dak Prescott has the fourth-best odds to take home the prestigious honor.

Yes, you read that right.

Dak Prescott is a top four NFL MVP candidate for the 2017-2018 season. At least, that’s what Bovada Odds believes.

The Las Vegas online betting site released their odds on who will be crowned the NFL’s Most Valuable Player for the upcoming NFL season. Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Derek Carr top the list. A former Mississippi State Bulldog has the fourth best odds of anyone to win the award.

Brady’s odds stand 4/1, Rodgers 7/1, and Carr 9/1. Dak is tied with Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and Seahawks signal-caller Russell Wilson at 12/1 odds.

Dak, obviously, took home NFL Offensive Rookie of the Years honors last season. His first year in the NFL is regarded by many as the greatest season by a rookie quarterback in league history. After being passed on by every team in the NFL for 134 picks, Dak used the slight as a chip on his shoulder to prove his critics wrong.

The Mississippi State legend first caught the league’s attention in August. He tore up the Los Angeles Rams on ESPN in Dallas’ first preseason game. From then on, he never looked back. Dak held off Tony Romo from taking his job back and led the Cowboys to an eleven game winning streak. Needless to say, Dak Prescott proved he belonged all season long.

Dak’s peers voted him the fourteenth best player in all of football for his rookie performance. That shows just how respected he is around the league.

Next: Vote for Dak, Morgan, and Women's Hoops!

All of the success comes with hype and expectations. Many are wary of Dak falling off, but his work ethic separates him from others. It will be exciting to see one of our own strive for MVP honors in just his second season in the biggest level of football.
