Dak Prescott’s Rookie of the Year campaign has him ranked as the best quarterback under the age of 25 in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus.

Pro Football Focus recently released their offense and their defensive teams of the best players on each side of the ball under the age of 25.

Former Mississippi State and current Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones was ranked as the best 3-technique on PFF’s team.

Dak Prescott was ranked as the best quarterback under the age of 25 — beating out signal callers such as Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota. Prescott (84.9) graded out almost eight points better than Winston (77.5) last season.

The recognition keeps showering Dak Prescott. Here is what Pro Football Focus has to say about Dak:

"QuarterbackDak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys (2016 PFF overall grade: 84.9)Seemingly a contrarian pick right of the gate, but no QB currently under 25 earned a higher grade than Dak Prescott did in 2016. Some will say he wasn’t asked to do much, but I don’t believe it matters, as he played nearly-flawless football. Only Patriots QB Tom Brady took better care of the ball in 2016, and Prescott’s nine turnover-worthy throws were significantly lower than both Winston and Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota. What’s more, Prescott’s 14 big-time-throws were right on par with Winston’s 16."

That’s high praise for the Mississippi State legend.

Dak’s rookie season earned him the second spot on PFF’s Rookie Rankings, falling just behind teammate Ezekiel Elliott.

"2. Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas CowboysDak Prescott’s rise has easily been the biggest story of the entire 2016 season. How the entire league—and also nearly every single draft evaluator—could not foresee Prescott breaking out the way he did is remarkable. Who, though, would guess that a quarterback’s stats would improve from college to the NFL? Prescott finished the season with only 13 turnover-worthy throws after recording 23 in his final year at Mississippi State. This was an unbelievable rookie year for PFF’s 11th-highest-graded NFL quarterback."

Here are some more interesting tidbits from the Pro Football Focus team:

Dak was highly successful on play-action plays during his first year in Dallas.

The former Mississippi State quarterback has a history of taking care of the football — even having the third most throws without an interception in SEC History.

He broke Tom Brady’s NFL record streak this past season, too.

Prescott had a season for the ages. A season that will go down as one of — if not the — best seasons by a first-year signal caller in NFL history.

It is cool to see a former Mississippi State Bulldog be on his way to national stardom in America’s biggest sport.
