FanSided’s Mississippi State blog ‘Maroon and White Nation‘ is looking for more writers, podcasters, and everything in between! Are you interested?

Do you bleed Maroon and White?

Do you celebrate every Bulldogs win and cannot stand to see them lose?

Do you love talking Mississippi State athletics?

Don’t like how other sites are covering your school?

Are you the next great sportswriter? Or just want a hobby talking Mississippi State sports?

If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, Maroon and White Nation would love to add you to the team.

FanSided is the “fastest-growing fan-focused digital media network in existence”. Why not take the opportunity and join the site?

"FanSided is the fastest-growing fan-focused digital media network in existence. Our network is not only a prime destination for some of the web’s best fan-driven content, but our company also features unique opportunities for those looking to get their start in the digital media industry, particularly in the sports and entertainment categories."

Since taking over the site in mid-May, Maroon and White Nation is becoming one of the best college sites on the FanSided Network. Our goal is to become the go to source for every Mississippi State fan around. Our plan is to be a daily stop for Mississippi State fans everywhere.

From covering who the Bulldogs are recruiting and talking about the Bulldogs’ match-up on the gridiron, to how Ben Howland can take Mississippi State to the next level and the new Left Field Lounge, to the fun and exciting women’s basketball team — and everything in between — we are looking for writers to help take our site to the next level.

Expectations

"We like to let our staff write about the aspects of the team they are most passionate about. There’s room for those interested in covering the football team, baseball, basketball, or any other sport under the Mississippi State umbrella. Maybe you’re more of a recruiting junkie and you want to talk about the impact a new signing could have. Or even just chipping in on game previews, roundtable discussions on staff about how each team should approach the offseason or whether a big move is needed to get them back on top, or helping with a number of other potential story ideas there could be a place for you here on the team.Writers are asked to contribute 1-2 posts per week. We’ll always welcome more frequent contributions than that, but we won’t require it.We know that for most this is mostly a hobby and something you do for the love of it. That’s why we do it too, as most of us have families, full-time careers, and/or school to balance into our lives as well (there’s room for things besides sports, right?). This is an opportunity to join a staff of writers here who are just simply passionate about the Bulldogs and want to continue to reach the rest of this great fan base."

Want to join us?

"Applying is very easy. Head on over and complete an application. It’ll give you a chance to share some insight into your background (prior online writing experience is not necessary but always encouraged) and let us know why you’d be a fit on site, so give it your best. We’ll be in touch from there. If you have any questions about the roles, please feel free to email kyle.franzoni@fansided.com with any questions."

This is YOUR chance to write about your perspective on everything occurring in the Mississippi State world of athletics.

Hail State!
