Dudy Noble Field is one of the more iconic ballparks across of college baseball, and the improvements will only enhance the experience.

Mississippi State is widely considered an elite baseball program in the SEC. The history, the success, and the fan support have created a program that any baseball player would love to play for.

Dudy Noble Field has been the home of MSU baseball for 50 years. It has been the site for intense SEC battles, Regional and Super Regional series, a countless number of record-breaking crowds, more than 1,500 games, and the biggest cookouts every baseball weekend. The history and experiences that have been made inside Dudy Noble are very special to many Mississippi State fans.

Mississippi State announced plans to hold a “Celebration Series” on the weekend of May 18-May 20 as the Bulldogs take on fierce SEC rival LSU in a series that will play a critical role in determining who takes home the SEC regular season crown. With the history that has been made in the ballpark, it is fitting to honor it during a huge and eventful weekend. Fans will be pouring in to see the Bulldogs play their last series before tournament play begins and they will have an opportunity to celebrate Dudy Noble as well.

MSU announced their plans of creating Dudy Noble into a bigger and better place back in 2014. That August, the athletic department released a video portraying what the Dudy Noble Field renovations will look like. The 2-and-half minute long video shows the plan through the eyes of a fan walking through Polk-Dement Stadium.

The new-look ballpark will feature a concourse where fans entering the stadium will be able to watch the game, without needing to sit down in the bleachers or in the outfield. The gigantic video-screen — that has already been installed — allows fans to see the game in ways that were not possible beforehand. “Left Field Lofts” will be built in the Left Field Lounge, giving fans the opportunity to eat a meal, get some rest, and watch the baseball game all from their room. These lofts will take the fan experience to new heights. Per Mississippi State’s Bulldog Club official site:

"“Each Left Field Loft includes approximately 1,000 square feet of living space that includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, common area and a porch that overlooks the “Carnegie Hall of College Baseball.”"

The majority of y’all already know about how Dudy Noble is changing, though. As far as what it means for Mississippi State baseball?

The future, progress, and bigger and better things. Mississippi State is in the process of creating the best ballpark in all of college baseball. Fans from all over will want to make the trip to see the new and improved ballpark, the university will generate more money for the athletic programs, and the most talented recruits across America will be ecstatic about the thought about playing baseball in the park. The fan experience will be off the charts, the Left Field Lots will be a big draw, and the game of baseball will be celebrated even more in Starkville.
