After coming off a huge road series win over Texas A&M in College Station, Mississippi State continues their movement upward in the polls. State dropped game 1 on Thursday, but rallied back to win the next two in a key series victory that has the Bulldogs in the top spot in the conference. Mississippi State is highest ranked in the Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball polls. The Bulldogs make the most movement in four different polls, where they jump up 4 spots.
The Bulldogs travel to Athens this weekend to take on Georgia in a critical SEC series. Georgia (20-29, 7-17) took 2 of 3 over Kentucky last weekend, so this is no guaranteed victory. After the battle of the Bulldogs, Mississippi State returns home to take on LSU in Dudy Noble Field to close out the SEC regular season.
