3. Left side of the offensive line

We know Jamaal Clayborn will play Center. Devon Desper was serviceable at RG last year and Justin Senior is a two-year starter at RT. But what about the left side?

Desper and Senior could end up on the left side of the line, but that just means we’re switching the question mark the right side. Either way, this unit wasn’t very good last year and there are some holes to fill….and it’s not like Desper and Senior are players who can’t get beat out for a starting role.

Left tackle was a weakness in 2015 with Rufus Warren. It made you realize just how good Blaine Clausell was from 2011-15 holding down that most important position. Elgton Jenkins did a really good job at LT when given a chance, and he’ll get a lot more playing time this year. Former No. 1 juco OT Martinas Rankin is expected to start at LT after redshirting last fall. If he can beat out Jenkins for the spot, that’s probably really good news and could mean Senior is a reserve with Jenkins moving over to RT.

Left guard – I’m not really sure who will step up. These running backs need some road graders but who will it be? Deion Calhoun? Jocquell Johnson? Michael Story?
