Mississippi State travels, on a short week, to Provo, UT to face BYU on Friday October 14th. BYU went 9-4 in 2015 but they lost to almost every good team they played. The Cougars play a tough schedule with a new coach and comes into our game after a trip to Michigan State. I won’t pretend to be an expert on BYU football but I know this: SEC teams have to win non conference games. When your schedule is filled with Alabama and LSU you need to be able to count on four non conference wins every year. So BYU is a must win.
