Now that baseball season is over, it’s time to get ready for all that will be said about Mississippi State Football in the offseason.

For fans of college athletics, September through May are great. You start off with football in September, get a little basketball in November before it picks up big time in January, and finish it off with Conference play in college baseball once the NCAA Basketball Tournament finishes in March.

But June (unless your team goes deep into the NCAA Baseball Tournament) through August are a grind for fans for college athletics. The same is true for Mississippi State football fans.

We now have a little over two months to wait for the Mississippi State football team to take the field for the first time in the 2017 season. And while we wait all of these days, we are going to have so much written and said about the upcoming season.

There are some things I look forward to writing about during this time when there isn’t a lot going on. But there are some things I would rather just ignore, but being the nature of the blogging world, I don’t really get to do that.

But I won’t be the only one writing things. The national writers will have their own opinions about the Mississippi State football team, as will the regional and local writers as well.

And while everyone is writing their opinion, they are going to be giving you all kinds of different things to read. And most of it won’t be very positive about the Bulldogs. So let’s take a look at the things to come, and already started by some, for what you will likely hear about for MSU during this offseason.
