Mississippi State Baseball Forecast: Down in the Stick

So it’s finally time for us to head down to Alex Box Stadium for a huge SEC baseball series. If you ever go down there not expecting one of the best environments in college baseball, then you’re kidding yourselves. Now they’re no Dudy Noble, but they can at least try to imitate our hostility/friendliness. But at least you’ll be well-fed down there. Mississippi State baseball and LSU baseball are the old guard of the conference, and maybe even the country, as far as baseball is concerned. But it’s time for the old guard to fight against each other for one more series in one of the best collegiate baseball stadiums in the country.

Luckily for us though, it does seem that the weekend will stay mainly dry around Alex Box for games. That’s good news for patrons and teams alike, because both teams had long midweek bouts. One was due to just lack of runs scored, the other was due to over a 2 hour rain delay. I’ll let you take a pick at which was which. Anyway, let’s get down to one of the biggest forecasts of the year for Bulldog fans. This series will either mostly solidify us as a national seed in most opinions, or knock us possibly out of hosting contention for a Regional.
